Synopsis
“Asfalto” tells of the love story between Lucie, a young prostitute, and two friends her age, Chino and Charly, small time thieves who live, as she does, trapped in the tower blocks of a large city. Right from the start, they’ve gone through risky situations in the criminal underworld; they betray each other, each lying in turn to avoid being rejected from the group. They realize that their romance is a three-way thing, it’s real; their betrayals and lies, proof of their love, are identical to those shared by any other couple. Their union is the only way to escape from the lack of humanity in the big city.
