Synopsis
Dean Corso's job is ultra-confidential, requires finesse, enormous culture, nerves of steel and no scruples. A successful hunter of rare books for rich collectors, he is hired by Boris Balkan, an eminent bibliophile with a passion for demonology, to track down the only two other copies of a legendary manual of satanic invocations, "The Eight Doors of the Kingdom of Shadows." The contract: compare them with the one in Balkan's possession, reputed to be the only one of its kind, and prove the authenticity of all three.

About
After I made "Rosemary’s Baby," every sorcerer and witch in England and America tried to contact me. It just never stopped! No, what really interests me is science, technology and the advance of human knowledge. Esotericism is a wonderful source of inspiration for films, the theatre and literature but on a philosophical level it bores me stiff. I hope that comes out in the film, which for me was a chance to send up the supernatural and all those mages and sorcerers and imps.
