Paul Mansart was sentenced to life in jail for his part in the killing of a diplomat, during which three of his accomplices were shot dead. Ten years later, a string of new killings takes place in strangely identical circumstances. The secret services suspect that there is a link between the recent murders and the Mansart case. They call in the judge who sentenced Mansart and two expert psychologists who specialize in exploring virtual worlds. To find out what really happened, they force Mansart to travel back into his past and relive the assassination.

About
Sergio Gobbi succeeds in injecting a dose of fantasy into a classic crime movie. The director’s savvily original step is to use special effects, not as empty fireworks but as so many clues in a good detective story.
(From an article in “Le Parisien”, July 9th 1998)
Cold sweats, trauma and satanic combat, virtual thrills and spills aplenty but always avoiding the clichés of the genre. An impenetrable Raoul Bova carries the lead part with ease; Luca Zingaretti and André Oumansky play the requisite scumbags with everything they've got. Sergio Gobbi has pulled off a nifty, well handled psychological suspense story.
(Patrice Vautier in "Le Canard Enchaîné", July 8th 1998)
