Synopsis
This film is based on the first tale of The Thousand and One Nights. When his brother telles him that his wife is unfaithful, Sultan Shahryar loses his reason. The slaughter of the lovers in the palace gardens where they made love, the discovery of an unfortunate genie, and his decision to marry and have executed a young girl every night, are unable to quench his thirst for revenge. Ony the wiles of Scheherazade and her sister are able to calm his destructive madness.
