A Feature film by Fernando Cerchio, Viktor Tourjansky

Release in France : 27/03/1959

    Synopsis

In ancient Greece, the pure and innoncent Iride finds an injured Macedonian soldier, Laertes, (Sernas) washed up on the beach and takes him home. The two fall for each other, arousing the jealousy of  sculptor (and Iride's master) Praxiteles, who betrays Laertes to the Greek soldiers who have been searching for him. Laertes escapes, but Iride, believing him dead, deserts Praxiteles and winds up working at the Greek soldiers orgies. Laertes leads a victorious army to find his love, and rescues her from a life of sin in the nick of time.
