Synopsis
Souvenirs of happy times might still be a source of joy...
In Rochefort in 1966, Jacques Demy shot "Les Demoiselles de Rochefort". In 1992, the town organized a great festival to celebrate the 25th. anniversary of the Demoiselles. In combining frames of two summers, one of a cinema festival and another one in honour of cinema, Agnès Varda has managed to create a very colourful documentary where we meet the lively Rochefort inhabitants, friends of the film, Catherine Deneuve, Jacques Perrin, children who worked as extras and are now adults as well as the linden trees of Place Colbert.
