Girls in Uniform
Synopsis
A Boarding school for girls in Germany in 1910. The lady principal treats them with severity in the thought that they will one day be the mothers of soldiers. The teachers do not quite agree with her point of view, particularly Miss de Bernburg who is indulgent, understanding and sometimes overlooks her pupils'weaknesses. All the young girls adore her. Manuela, a new pupil with romentic tendencies, wants to have Miss de Bernburg's affection all to herself. Miss de Bernburg tries to reason with her. A performance of Romeo and Juliet given on the occasion of the Mother Superior's birthday, gives Manuela the chance to make a great success of her part as Romeo, but after the show, she involuntarily provokes an incident due to having had too many glasses of punch...
