The Deal takes us to the heart of high-stakes diplomacy during the 2015 nuclear talks in Geneva. Amid fragile negotiations, Swiss diplomat Alexandra (Veerle Baetens) faces a personal and political dilemma when an old flame reappears, putting peace, and her own integrity, on the line.

We spoke with co-writer Eugène Riousse about crafting this tense, intimate political drama, created by Jean-Stéphane Bron and Alice Winocour, which screens at the Locarno Film Festival on August 11, 12 & 14.
