Biography

French director and illustrator, Sophie Racine holds a master's degree in visual art from ENSAV la Cambre (Brussels). During her studies, she directed three animated short films, L'Envolée, Balades and Rêves de brume, selected and awarded at several international festivals.

Director Sepideh Farsi talks about her animation film ‘The Siren’ (‘La Sirène’) which won the Best Original Music Award for a Feature Film at @annecyfestival 🏆🎼✨

The original music was composed by French-Swiss jazz trumpeter Erik Truffaz. 🎷

1980. Abadan, Iran. The residents hold out against an Iraqi siege. Among them, 14-year-old Omid decides to stay in the city with his grandfather until his older brother returns. Omid finds an abandoned boat in Abadan’s port. Could this be the way to save his family?
