Directors Çağla Zencirci and Guillaume Giovanetti discuss Confidante, their gripping new film that premiered at the Berlinale.

Set in the aftermath of the 1999 Istanbul earthquake, Confidante follows Sabiha, a woman in her 40s, disabled and divorced, working as a phone operator under the alias Arzu. One night, she receives a call from a teenage boy trapped under the rubble. His only working number? The erotic call center.

The film is now premiering in French theatres.
