Synopsis

From the streets of New York to the tracks of the Swiss Alps, from Sao Paulo to Paris, Beijing to Sydney, men and women, champions or anonymous people... millions of us run each year. However, barely fifty years ago this practice was exclusively reserved to men, confined to stadiums, with strict, retrograde, and sexist rules.

Combining people's accounts and archive images, Free to Run recounts for the first time the fabulous adventure of running, a marginal and militant act that has become a worldwide passion.
