Synopsis
In Taipei, Abbas relentlessly tries to find a young woman who disappeared years earlier. His girlfriend, Lian, tries her best to make him shake off the state of torpor that drives his wandering. But Abbas is haunted by the memory of tragic events.
Seven years earlier.
Abbas lives with Clara in a mountain village cut off from the rest of the world and abandoned by its population. The couple survives the constant threat of a devastating virus.
People infected by the pandemic are prey to strange behaviour.
One day, in the forest, Abbas discovers a child hiding her mother who is suffering from the illness...
