Despite their solid professional experience, pals Michel and Gérard are confronted by the bitter fact: no high school diploma, no job!
Because they’ve got to ‘retrain,’ Michel decides to sit the wretched diploma that he never managed to pass way back when. He drags Gérard to school, where he finds his son, Philippe, who could care less about the examination.
The pair’s insane project causes incomprehension among their friends and family, and is the butt of ironic commentary from their neighbors in the little town in Bordeaux where everything is kept under wraps, but where everyone knows what everyone else is up to.
