Synopsis

France 1980. A retired horsemeat butcher is fighting for survival. Having abandoned his austistic daughter, he moves to Lille with his pregnant mistress, hoping to rebuild a new life for himself. He doesn't love her and hates life in his mother-in-law's apartment. His hopes soon turn into bitterness, and bitterness into obsession. Violence explodes. He goes back to Paris and tries to start a new life again. He is counting on his lucky star to help him find a new job and new friends.but both are hard to come by. Here, like everywhere else, living is a selfish act. Penniless, with gun loaded with three bullets as his sole companion, only one thing spurs him on : vengeance.
