After the discovery of the famous polychromatic bust of the mythical queen of the Nile in 1912 by a German archeologist, we travel back 14 centuries B.C. to her youth and her first love, just before her marriage with the old pharaon, Armenophis III. The young Tadushepa's insouciance is disturbed only by the ribald teasing of her first and eternal love, the sculptor Yamee. All too soon she has to leave for Egypt and become one of the many wives of Amenophis III. Under the influence of her thirst for power, the young woman is transformed into a clever queen, spouse of the old pharaon. It is an arranged marriage and an invaluable apprenticeship to life for Nefertiti. After the death of her first husband, Nefertiti discovers an engulfing passion for Akhenaton, the successor to the Egyptian throne. It also coincides with a wide-spread blossoming on all levels for our heroine : great public works , a new monotheistic religion, political upheavals, etc...
