Biography

Anne Villacèque started out directing documentaries. "3 histoires d'amour de Vanessa," shot in 1996, was awarded the 1998 Jean Lods Promising Young Talent Prize (SCAM). Two years later, Villacèque made her second documentary, "Les Infortunes de la vertu." She moved into fiction filmmaking with "Petite Chérie" ("Little Darling") in 1999, written in collaboration with Elisabeth Barrière-Marquet. The film was presented at the Directors' Fortnight at the 2000 Cannes International Film Festival. She then went on to direct another documentary, "Marrakech-Toronto, un aller simple."
