Manuel Boursinhac studied at the Louis Lumière school. Having worked as a camera operator on commercials and in TV in the eighties, he went on to work in radio and directed several films, including a sketch for the film «La Septième dimension» in 1987. In 1989, he made his fifth short-film, «Le Langage des fleurs» which won awards at numerous festivals. Then he concentrated mainly on television, doing portraits, (Tom Novembre, Alain Bashung), fashion films and documentaries. He also did trailers and "making-of"s for various companies. Manuel Boursinhac returned to fiction in 1998 with his first feature : «A Pure Moment of Rock'n Roll».
