A sponsorship agreement between Unifrance and Sofitel will be signed by Margaret Menegoz and Eric Lepleux, Accor’s Executive Vice-President Hotels and Brand Marketing, on Monday, October 15.
As part of its market repositioning strategy, Sofitel will enter into a partnership with Unifrance’s activities throughout the year, an initiative that reflects core values shared by filmmaking and the Sofitel brand: the experience of emotions, escape, glamour, and culture. Unifrance is delighted with the possibility of offering Sofitel’s high quality services to its artistic delegations traveling the world.
Sofitel will be signing the sponsorship agreement with Unifrance in one of its finest properties, the Sofitel Hotel Scribe, a choice that is both historical and appropriate to the theme of the partnership. The Scribe Hotel is famous for welcoming the most prestigious celebrities of the past, from Marcel Proust to Josephine Baker, and for hosting the first public film screening by the Lumiere Brothers in 1895. Its interior design has recently been refurbished, with the hotel now typifying the new Parisian hotel chic.
Unifrance President Margaret Menegoz made the following statement: “What are French cinema’s best ambassadors around the world? Films, actors, directors, and producers. I am delighted with this new synergy with Sofitel, which will bring new prestigious locations to our events in the four corners of the globe.”
Eric Lepleux, Executive Vice-President of Accor Hotels and Brand Marketing, expressed the position of Sofitel: "Just like the art of cinema, Sofitel is committed to offering experiences and emotions to our clients in our luxury hotels. We are delighted to take part in extending the international reach of culture, elegance, and esthetics, as well as fostering exchange and cooperation around the world, thanks to this partnership with Unifrance.”
