Unifrance reinvents the “Rendezvous with French Cinema” in London

This annual event devoted to French films is to be revamped in 2007, now to be held in a new location at the Curzon Mayfair.

Held from Thursday, March 29 through Sunday, April 1st, the newly revamped program will showcase a dozen French films that reflect the diversity and dynamism of current French film production, with gala screenings of films presented prior to their national release by distributors in the UK.

Both internationally established French actors and directors and emerging talents will be in attendance throughout the event to introduce their films and meet with the media and the public at post-screening Q&As.

This event hosted by Unifrance, France’s international film promotion agency, in association with the French Embassy in London and the Curzon Mayfair cinema, features a varied program including meetings and interviews, events dedicated to up-and-coming French and British actors, a masterclass, a program of short films, and a conference on co-productions.

The full program of films showcased will be announced early March at the event’s press launch in London.
