On August 24 this year, the Russian distribution company Karoprokat released "Asterix and the Vikings" in Russian on 117 prints, making this the most ambitious release offered in 2006.
Karoprokat acquired the rights of the film from the Ukrainian operator Ukrainian DVD Company. Benefiting from support from numerous sponsors, the distributor pulled out all the stops to celebrate the film’s launch, with an evening dedicated to young audiences, who gave the film an enthusiastic reception.
