German media praise

Indeed, described as “explosive” in Freundin magazine and "captivating" by TV Digital and Cinema, Chabrol’s latest film (also known as “The Comedy of Power”) has won over the German media.

The film is rightly acclaimed as a "blockbuster," and the "drama of an inflexible woman" (Bild), and the film’s leading lady Isabelle Huppert "shines" according to Elle, Petra and Cinema. Released in Germany July 20 by Concorde Filmverleih, "L’Ivresse du pouvoir" offers a caustic observation of power and its consequences. Chabrol "bears his teeth at reality and Isabelle Huppert bites!" declares the daily FAZ.
