Unifrance President Margaret Menegoz has named the new director of our Japan Office. Valérie-Anne Christen will take up her post in Tokyo on May 2.
Ms. Christen will also be in charge of Unifrance activities in the Asia region (outside China, Hong Kong, and Taiwan, which fall under the responsibility of Christine Pernin, director of the Unifrance Beijing Office).
A fluent Japanese speaker, Valérie-Anne Christen was previously in charge of international sales at the Japanese production company 100 Meter Films Production. She was also a member of the pre-selection committee for the Yamagata International Film Festival and the Tokyo International Film Festival, as well as participating in Franco-Japanese meetings on the subject of animated films.
