Unifrance supports the creation of the first EU.RO.PA Youth Prize, presented by the Palatine Association and Alice nella città, an independent and parallel section of the Rome International Film Festival, which will be awarded by 600 French and Italian high school students, aged between 15 and 18 years old, from high schools with a bi-national curriculum.
During spring, a jury composed of Italian and French high school students will discover in theaters new works by filmmakers from both countries (three French films, three Italian films), communicate with the filmmakers, and participate in developing critical reviews before voting. The jury of this first edition is composed of about 600 students, between Paris and Rome.
The EU.RO.PA Youth Prize aims to give greater visibility to artistic approaches cinema in educational projects in France and Italy (with a strong openness to Europe), to support cinema attendance and to strengthen exchanges between young people.

The award ceremony will be held on July 6, in a dual-location presetnation between Rome and Paris, in the presence of institutions and a Franco-Italian personality. The two winning films will be screened during the second edition of the Paris+Roma festival (July 8-12, 2023) and during an initiative organized byr Alice nella città, within the context of the Estate Romana.
