Two weeks have already passed since the first online French-language film festival in the world opened its doors. We look back at some key elements of the 10th edition.
For 9 years, web users throughout the world have been invited to watch the selected films on MyFrenchFilmFestival.com, as well as on sixty partner platforms (see the attached chart). Audiences have flocked once again; the exact number of festival viewers will be known in February.
Public screenings throughout the world
Potchefstroom (South Africa), Buenos Aires (Argentina), Isa Town (Bahrain), La Paz (Bolivia), Gitega (Burundi), Ottawa (Canada), Bucaramanga, Medellin (Colombia), Santo Domingo (Dominican Republic), Hamburg (Germany), Bari, Bologna, Florence, Palermo, Milan, Trieste (Italy), Sapporo, Tokyo (Japan), Nairobi (Kenya), Marrakech (Morocco), Queretaro, Mérida, Mexico (Mexico), Rostov, Volgograd (Russia), Vigo (Spain): public screenings have been organized almost everywhere around the world thanks to the French diplomatic network.
A Facebook contest
A contest has been organized on MyFrenchFilmFestival's Facebook page. Spectators from around the world are invited to post an original photo of themselves watching a film from the selection, as a comment to MyFrenchFilmFestival's post. A random draw will take place at the end of the festival. The lucky winner will receive a return trip for two to Paris flying Air France and 3 nights at the Hôtel du Collectionneur in the French capital.
