The French filmmaker Mikhaël Hers has joined the Directors' Jury for the 9th edition of MyFrenchFilmFestival!
Mikhaël Hers is a French film director and screenwriter, and a graduate of La FEMIS film school in Paris.
His first mid-length features, Charell in 2006, Primrose Hill in 2007, and Montparnasse in 2009, were selected for several festivals, notably the Critics' Week and Directors' Fortnight sections of the Cannes Film Festival.
In 2010, he made his debut feature, Memory Lane, which received its premiere at the Locarno International Film Festival. After a second feature, This Summer Feeling, released in 2015 and selected for the 7th edition of MyFrenchFilmFestival, he directed Amanda, which was presented at the 2018 Venice International Film Festival and was awarded the Grand Prize for Best Film at the 2018 Tokyo International Film Festival. Released in France in November 2018, the film has been acclaimed by critics and public alike.
