1% fall for Spanish admissions in 2000

For the first time in more than 10 years, total admissions in Spain in 2000 fell. A light drain : 1% (129,5 million tickets sold).
These results casts a shadow across Spain's exhibition sector, which added 300 screens in 2000 (for a total of 3,645 screens in the country).
Exhibs blame the drop in admissions on so-so results for local pics that reached a 10% market share in 2000, against 14,3% in 1999.
