The director of Sheitan and Dog Pound is a member of the Directors' Jury for the 8th edition of MyFrenchFilmFestival.
French director, screenwriter, and video maker Kim Chapiron began his career with the Kourtrajmé collective, which he created with the director Romain Gavras and for which he made more than twenty short films.
In 2005, he made Sheitan, starring Vincent Cassel. This debut feature was presented at many international film festivals and was released in forty territories.
His second feature, Dog Pound, shot in 2008 and in English, depicts the daily lives of three teens in a Montana juvenile correction facility and won the Best New Narrative Filmmaker Award at the Tribeca Film Festival.
Smartass, his third feature, was released in 2014. Alongside these films, Chapiron has also made many clips and he directed the first four episodes of the Guyane television series for Canal Plus in 2016.
