News in brief

• The French Film Market came to an end on Friday afternoon, after two days of meetings between twenty French exporters who had traveled to the event and many Japanese distributors. The sales agents could at last relax a little in evening, in particular at Vianney's show...

• Fans asked to be able to camp out in front of the Institut Français in Tokyo in order to be sure to have a seat at the Kering talk between Isabelle Huppert and Hirokazu Kore-Eda. They were not allowed to do so. Some people, who had the precious pass allowing them in, had flown from other places in Japan just to see the French actress.

• The UniFrance office in Seoul informed us that Elle, out on release since two weeks in South Korea, is doing very well, with already 20,000 admissions. For the occasion, Isabelle Huppert and Paul Verhoeven recorded a short video message for the Korean distributor.
