The French Film Festival of Helvetia celebrated its tenth edition. Christian Kellenberger, festival director, reflects upon the highlights of this year's event.
Ten Candles and variety of events
"As UniFrance's general director, Isabelle Giordano, who came to celebrate the festival's tenth anniversary, pointed out, the richness of the FFFH also lies in its variety. Hence, the specific events of this jubilee delighted their various targeted audiences. The Magic of Special Effects workshops, jointly organized with La Lanterne Magique, were sold out. And the open air, free admission screenings in the Place Centrale were a hugely popular success, attracting 1350 spectators."
Check out some of the highlights of this 10th edition, during which more than fifty French or French-language films (some of which were international premieres such as Les Héritiers by Marie-Castille Mention-Schaar, Bodybuilder by Roschdy Zem, and Sex, Love & Therapy by Tonie Marshall) were presented at Bienne in their original version, most of which were subtitled in German.
