French films at the international box office in 2011
74.3 million admissions were registered in international theaters in 2011: an overall increase of 23.6% over 2010, although admissions to French-language films declined by 21.9%.
Box office revenues rose by 28.8% in 2011, setting a new record. This increase is greater than the rise in attendance figures, due to the excellent results registered in USA, Germany, and Switzerland, markets with very high ticket prices.
