Animated film pays homage to the muse of 1920s' Paris.
For her first short film, Amélie Harrault depicts the life of the "Queen of Montparnasse," Alice Ernestine Prin, known as Kiki of Montparnasse. Born in 1901, Kiki was the muse for the greatest avant-garde artists, from Georges Braque to Robert Desnos, and not forgetting Léonard Tsuguharu Foujita and Man Ray. A model, actress, dancer, and singer, Kiki embodied, by herself alone, the myth of Paris in the 1920s. Mademoiselle Kiki necounts her life, love affairs, dreams, successes, and disappointments.
