A success story inspired by real events.
Samuel Collardey initially set out to make a documentary about football clubs. But his research led him to meet a Senegalese football player, who became the inspiration for this fictional story about Mytri, a young Senegalese man dreaming of becoming a professional football player in France. To make this "fiction devoured by documentary," Samuel Collardey didn't want the lead actor to be a professional. He hence went to Senegal and, when seeing Mytri Attal play football, he knew he was perfect for the role.
