Synopsis
This is a story about a nice but uptight schoolteacher, who would like to pass something on to his kids, without being, or being forced to be, political. But the mediocrity of the time catches up with him. This is the story about a woman of thirty, disappointed but passionate, who returns home and falls in love with a childhood friend. The intensity of her emotions catches up with her. This is the story of Charles, fifteen and luckless. But he has Julie, whom no one understands, except for him. Will they be caught by the child snatchers? A peaceful and green countryside, in 1940, when conformity rules and it's in one's best interest to be like everyone else. But the characters in the "Marriage Boat" won't be held back by petty fears. They sense that happiness is never given, but earned. And since they are prepared to fight, they will live...
