Synopsis
In a gripping confrontation, Jean-François Eap, the inventor of the ultra-secure Sky ECC phone, and Catherine de Bolle, head of Europol, embody two opposing ideals: one advocating for the protection of individual freedoms, the other emphasizing the need for surveillance to ensure safety. While Eap strives to create an unbreakable system in the name of privacy, Catherine, haunted by the failures of counter-terrorism efforts in 2015, is determined to put an end to technologies seen as safe havens for organized crime.
Blending espionage, secret alliances, and moral dilemmas, this thriller spans continents and delves into the gray zones of digital security. It unveils the power struggles hidden behind the pursuit of cybersecurity. This documentary raises a universal question: how far can we go to protect, and at what cost, in a world torn between technological utopia and authoritarian control?
