Synopsis
Assunta, an octogenarian, collapses from exhaustion at the door of her apartment. Her neighbor, Fatima, a Syrian teenager, comes to her aid. The old woman miraculously survives, but when she regains consciousness, she discovers by a strange irony of fate that her illness has brought back into her world the men, women and children who populated her past and her hometown in Sardinia, marked by the creation of the largest NATO maneuvers camp in Europe, which forced her and her family to flee their village and their island.
