Synopsis
For 5 years, director Samuel Collardey covered in exclusivity a long-drown-out criminal case in South Florida that deeply shook the public opinion in the United States.
This immersive investigation and compelling story with all its twists and turns in search of the truth, unfolds over 6 episodes taking us at the heart of the judicial system.
On September 8, 2014 the lifeless body of Jill Halliburton Su, great-niece of an oil tycoon and wife of a professor at the University of Florida, is found in her house located in a residential area of the town of Davie, near Fort Lauderdale, FL.
A few hours later, Justin Su discovers his mother’s body in the bathtub. The young man is considered the number 1 suspect by the investigators before DNA is detected on a knife found on the crime scene.
The DNA matching tests lead to Dayonte Resiles - nicknamed Moochie - a 21-year-old African-American known to the police, for burglary, but with no record of violence.
