Achewiq - The Song of the Brave Women
Synopsis
Kabylia in flames. Shreds of burnt olive trees dangle from the mountains. In the midst of this devastation, women sing. Their ancestral song, Achewiq, sublimates the suffering. The ashes of the scorched earth will become seedlings that bloom.
This summer, Kabylia has experienced devastating fires. Despite these terrible losses, the Kabyle women continue to survive. We follow with simplicity the daily life of the women of Sahel, who, through laughter and joy, manage to sublimate all their sorrows.
