Synopsis
In France, at the court of Louis XIV, the Marquise de Sévigné wants to raise her daughter in her own image: a brilliant and independent woman driven by the arts and literature. But, as soon as her daughter marries, she cuts ties with her mother and, to the Marquise’s despair, she takes pleasure in the everyday activities of a housewife. Away from each other, they start writing ardent letters. Mother and daughter will experience the torments of a singular and devastating passion.
