Synopsis
“Where Asia begins vulgarity ends”. This phrase is the key to the film that shows everyday life and customs in Asia, from India to Japan, in the 1960s, where populations still live off the land using ancestral farming methods and where others live on junks piled up in the ports, somewhere between tradition and modernity. Religious fervour is prevalent everywhere, visible in the temples, and the traditional rites and dances.
