He wants to return to his uncle's home, but Mr Pallunder finds excuses not to accompany him. Mr. Green asked him to come and join him at just midnight and say goodbye to Clara. She begs him to play the piano. Karl runs and Mack, Clara's fiancé reveals her presence in the bedroom. M.
