Synopsis
In his workshop, an old watchmaker tries to recreate a personal and loving memory by creating the artwork of his life. One of his old creations comes to life and watches him intently. It is a small fairground automaton. The old man is about to complete the piece he is working on when he is overcome with emotion. He dies. The automaton will itself then place the last element out of love for and in memory of its creator.
