Each week, two bags full of diamonds are discreetly unloaded from a South African Airlines plane onto the Tel Aviv airport tarmac. Some Georgian baggage handlers decide to steal the loot.
They all know each other and live in the same neighborhood. They’re bound to each other by neighborhood ties, gambling debts and by their relationships with women who are rarely their own wives.
They organize the set-up; each one must play a part. They must decide definitively who does what – including who handles the police when they stumble on what’s been going on.
Putting such a delicate operation together isn’t an easy job. And when the team also has to take into account, wives, mistresses, children, rivalries – not to mention the plane itself – the operation takes on truly epic proportions.
