France 1960. The Guidon de Repeygnacs are a typical aristocratic French family living comfortably in a posh suburb of Paris. Originally seduced by each others good looks, and in her case, his ancestry, the Baron and Baroness have now filled the rooms of their enormous apartment with a happy brood of eight offspring. The children's days are filled with private schoolings, charity events, music and dancing lessons, family reunions and church ceremonies. They are washed and starched and sent to bed on time by their loyal housekeeper, Annick. But alas, misfortune strikes this happy hearth and the Guidon de Repeygnacs find themselves evicted and forced to move into a low income tenement in the blue collar outskirts of Paris. Surrounded by a new set of manners and a new set of neighbors, the family will find its faith sorely tested ! The Baroness, against all odds, attempts to maintain the lifestyle to which she is accustomed and rues the day that she fell for a good for nothing aristocrat. The Baron and his children, however, will discover the joys of their own resourcefulness. Together, they plot and scheme their way to a new life filled with adventures ! They were rich, you'll love them broke...
