Duets: 'Someone Should Ban Sunday Afternoons' (Nicolas Mantoux, November Ultra & Isabel Coixet)

Director Isabel Coixet, composer Nicolas Mantoux and singer-songwriter November Ultra come together to talk about the Arte TV series Someone Should Ban Sunday Afternoons (Quelqu’un devrait interdire les dimanches après-midi).

Set in contemporary Paris, Isabel Coixet’s bittersweet series follows three roommates navigating friendship, love, disappointments, dreams and the uncertainties of their generation.

In this conversation, they discuss the role of music in shaping the series’ emotional world and how sound, image and performance come together to bring its characters and their stories to life.
