Synopsis
Peacefully, the time goes by in Hamza’s courtyard, a tailor, while the women from his neighbourhood gather to work together and talk. The sultan summons a meeting with his leading governors, while Salamatou and Bachir, two reporters from the local radio “Nomad FM”, are chasing the latest news from around town. It is Ramadam and the religious spirit is in everyone.
In front of the main Mosque, the men are praying. In a Koran school, the women ask themselves questions. Narrow streets, with mud and clay houses, court yards full of life: this is Agadez; a city in the desert .
