Antoine Paruso, a.k.a “Toinou,” a generous and boastful man in his forties, André Lespinasse, a.k.a “Doctor” due to his dubious first-aid diploma, 35, and Brahim Ben Kader, 30, a.k.a “Bibi,” a welder, are well known in Martigues, the “Venice of Provence.” Formerly employed at the Plurimetal factory, they now run a thriving shellfish stall, Toinou & Co. Toinou had the bright idea of combining their redundancy payouts to set up the stall. His friends are overwhelmed with joy, but the big question is what they should do with the insurance money. The answer is quick in coming: "We'll keep the cash!"
Toinou and his friends don't know that they've just got mixed up in a hellish situation...
