Since the beginning of 2000, 247 French short films have been selected at 75 international festivals and events. Among the award-winning films, 2 deserve a special mention. "Au bout du monde" by Konstantin Bronzit was selected for 11 festivals and won 7 awards: Best Animated Film at Tampere (Finland); Best Humorous Film at Stuttgart (Germany); Best Animated Film at Aspen (United States); 3rd Prize in the Animation category and the Audience Prize at Dresden (Germany); the Silver Dragon and the Students' Prize at Cracow (Poland). "Premier Noël", by Kamel Chérif, was selected for 8 festivals and won 6 awards: 1st Prize for a Short Film at Nuremberg (Germany); 3rd Jury Prize and the Youth Award at Dresden (Germany); the Youth Award and the Inter-Cultural Communication Prize at "Vue d’Afrique", Montreal (Canada) and finally, the award for Best Director at Mons (Belgium).
