The jury presided over by Michael Mann awarded the Osella Award for Best Screenplay to Something in the Air, the new film by Olivier Assayas.
Although the film was among the favorites vying for the Golden Lion (no French film has received this award since Louis Malle's Au Revoir Les Enfants in 1987), it was finally Pieta, the latest opus from South Korean director Kim Ki-Duk, which won the award.
Something in the Air is slated for release on November 14, 2012 in France and will launch its international career in January 2013 in Germany.
