uniFrance Films will host its 14th Rendez-vous event in Paris from January 11 through 16, 2012.
Over the four-day event, the Grand Hotel Intercontinental will welcome 450 international distributors who have made the trip to Paris to discover the latest French films presented by French sales agents. 80 films will be showcased at the Film Market, one half of which have not previously been screened. The event will feature world preview screenings of Love Lasts Three Years by Frédéric Beigbeider, 38 Witnesses by Lucas Belvaux, and La Vérité si je mens 3 by Thomas Gilou.
A press junket will be held to coincide with the Film Market. Over the years, this annual event has stamped itself as the world's largest press junket, this year attracting 130 journalists from 25 countries, who will meet with artists from films due for release in their respective countries in 2012.
uniFrance Films will hold a press conference on Friday, January 14, at 6.30 p.m., attended by uniFrance Films president Antoine De Clermont-Tonnerre, our executive director Régine Hatchondo, and the four presidents of uniFrance's four committees (Eric Nevé representing producers, Cécile Gaget representing sales agents, Tonie Marshall representing artists, and Karine Blanc representing short films). They will announce the results for French films in international markets in 2011 and present a broad outline of uniFrance Films' activities in 2012.
