The British Academy of Film and Television Arts (BAFTA), the British equivalent of the Academy Awards, pays tribute to Vincent Cassel.
The British Academy of Film and Television Arts (BAFTA), held a special event Wednesday, June 3, to celebrate actor Vincent Cassel, winner of the 2009 Cesar Award for his role in Jean-François Richet’s diptych about Jacques Mesrine.
The two episodes of Mesrine, Mesrine: Part 1 - Death Instinct and Mesrine: Part 2 - Public Enemy #1, will be released in the UK several weeks apart during the month of August, distributed by Momentum Pictures.
Vincent Cassel will take advantage of this 2-day trip across the Channel to meet with British media. This event, led by the British film critic Jason Solomons, is one of a series of meetings with leading movie personalities entitled A Life in Pictures, which has previously honored the work of Meryl Streep, Guillermo Del Toro, Tilda Swinton, Joel and Ethan Coen, Paul Greengrass, Cate Blanchett, Amitabh Bachchan, Alfonso Cuarón, and Virginia McKenna. The organization of Cassel’s participation in this event benefited from Unifrance support.
